brown said we need an initiative measure. they said let's make it real progressive, and make sure that it is for schools, and so they changed the referendum months before -- you know literally a minute before it needed to be on the ballot, and governor brown was fantastic, and what hand was we won this referendum for revenues that are going to be directed to colleges and schools in the wake of a place that has had cut after cut after cut, and also beat out the referendum that said silence workers. so both of these things won in california, and the other thing that won in california was a win against obstructionism by having enough democrats in -- in the legislature to stop the kind of filibustering that was going on there. and then you saw it also in florida, beating back the -- you know, back door let's kill public schools with vouchers. you sanit idaho, beating back this overreach of attesting fixation, and you saw it frankly, in indiana, where one of the poster children of let's bash the teachers was defeated by a teacher.
